چکیده

The main goal of the ITEA Project TBONES is to design and demonstrate a flexible, scalable, and manageable GMPLS Phase II-enabled transparent network simulator, which will be interconnected with an experimental ASON/GMPLS network, forming a real operational testbed. Starting from the traffic analysis of European backbone networks and economic drivers in transparent networking technology evolution, the project identifies network control and management features to transparent ASON/GMPLS networks, for which it investigates and implements a full dynamic service-oriented test-bed.
